The common diseases of Kidney, Urinary bladder and Prostate gland include:
- Kidney Stones
- Cystitis
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
- Urinary Incontinence
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
Kidney Stones
Kidney stones are hard deposits of minerals and acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine. They can be painful when passing through the urinary tract, but usually don’t cause permanent damage.
The most common symptom is severe pain, usually in the side of the abdomen, that’s often associated with nausea.

Cystitis
Cystitis is usually caused by bacteria in the lower urinary tract. Most often—in 95% of cases—the bacteria Escherichia coli is the cause. Sometimes, when bacteria come into contact with the urethra, it travels to the bladder, leading to cystitis.
Cystitis signs and symptoms may include:
- Pain or a burning feeling when urinating
- Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
- Blood in the urine (hematuria)
- Passing cloudy or strong-smelling urine
- Pelvic discomfort
- A feeling of pressure in the area below your belly button (abdomen)
- Low-grade fever

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
- UTI is an infection in any part of the urinary system, the kidneys, bladder or urethra.
- Urinary tract infections are more common in women. They usually occur in the bladder or urethra, but more serious infections involve the kidney.
- A bladder infection may cause pelvic pain, increased urge to urinate, pain with urination and blood in the urine. A kidney infection may cause back pain, nausea, vomiting and fever.

Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence is the unintentional passing of urine. Loss of bladder control, varying from a slight loss of urine after sneezing, coughing or laughing, to complete inability to control urination. It’s a common problem thought to affect millions of people. There are several types of urinary incontinence, including: stress incontinence – when urine leaks out at times when your bladder is under pressure; for example, when you cough or laugh.

Prostate gland Enlargement or BPH
Prostate gland enlargement or Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, is the most common benign tumor found in men. With this condition, the urinary stream may be weak or stop and start. In some cases, it can lead to infection, bladder stones and reduced kidney function.
