Male Infertility - Low Sperm Count
If your sperm count is less than 15 million sperm per milliliter of semen, then it is considered low sperm count. It is also called oligospermia. A complete absence of sperm is called azoospermia.
Having a low sperm count decreases the odds that one of your sperm will fertilize your partner’s egg, resulting in pregnancy. But many men who have a low sperm count are still able to father a child.
A number of risk factors are linked to low sperm count and other problems that can cause low sperm count. They include:
- Smoking tobacco
- Drinking alcohol
- Using certain illicit drugs
- Being overweight
- Being severely depressed or stressed
- Having certain past or present infections
- Being exposed to toxins
- Overheating the testicles
- Having experienced trauma to the testicles
- Being born with a fertility disorder or having a blood relative, such as your brother or father, with a fertility disorder
- Undergoing cancer treatments, such as radiation
- Taking certain medications
- Having a history of undescended testicles

Male Infertility - Varicocele

Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Erectile dysfunction is defined as the persistent inability to achieve or maintain penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. Physical issues like heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and smoking can all cause erectile dysfunction. On the other hand, depression, anxieties, stress, relationship problems, and other mental health concerns can also interfere with sexual feelings.

Pre Mature Ejaculation (PME)
Premature ejaculation occurs in men when semen leaves the body (ejaculate) sooner than wanted during sex. Premature ejaculation can be caused by both psychological and physical factors.

Excessive Masturbation
Masturbation is self-stimulating your genitals in a sexual way to the point of reaching an orgasm. It is a very common behavior among men and women and is a very normal part of growing up for children of both sexes. Excessive masturbation may cause damage to the nerves that allow for the ejaculation. This can cause premature ejaculation or even an ejaculation during sleep.
Excess of anything can be harmful. Masturbating excessively can cause:
- fatigue
- weakness
- early ejaculation
- may also inhibit sexual activities with your partner
- injury to the penis
- vision changes
- lower back pain
- testicular pain
- hair loss
